16 MBTI Personality Types - LYMT

The MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) 16 personality types are based on Carl Jung's theory of psychological types and further developed by Katharine Briggs and her daughter Isabel Briggs Myers. The MBTI categorizes personalities into four dimensions, each with two possible preferences, resulting in a total of 16 different personality types. These four dimensions are:

  1. Extraversion (E) vs. Introversion (I):
    • Extraversion (E): Gains energy from the external world and interactions

with others.

  • Introversion (I): Gains energy from the internal world and solitude.
  1. Sensing (S) vs. Intuition (N):

    • Sensing (S): Focuses on concrete, practical information and experiences.
    • Intuition (N): Focuses on patterns, possibilities, and abstract concepts.
  2. Thinking (T) vs. Feeling (F):

    • Thinking (T): Makes decisions based on logic and objective analysis.
    • Feeling (F): Makes decisions based on personal values and others' feelings.
  3. Judging (J) vs. Perceiving (P):

    • Judging (J): Prefers a structured and planned lifestyle.
    • Perceiving (P): Prefers a flexible and spontaneous lifestyle.

Based on the combinations of these four dimensions, the MBTI forms 16 personality types, each represented by a four-letter combination:

  1. ISTJ (Introversion, Sensing, Thinking, Judging): Responsible, practical, and organized.
